Start Your Mandarin Journey

Mandarin Explorer's Camp is a five-week day camp designed to introduce children (ages 6–12) to Mandarin language and Chinese culture through engaging, interactive, and hands-on experiences. The camp provides a structured, safe, and educational environment where campers learn language skills, participate in cultural activities, and engage in outdoor play.

Have fun with Mandarin 

Each day includes: ✅Mandarin language class focusing on conversational skills, storytelling, and vocabulary.✅ Chinese craft & calligraphy session to explore artistic and cultural traditions.✅ Themed activities related to Chinese culture, including sports, traditional games, cooking, STEM projects, and arts/crafts.✅ Supervised outdoor playtime to ensure physical activity and social engagement.

TImes: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Location: Rockville, MD (location Location details will be provided upon registration)

Cost: $360 for 4-day week (4th of July)

$450 per camper for 5-day weeks

(includes $30 material fee)

Camp Directors

Mandarin Explorer's Camp is led by an award-winning Mandarin educator and parents of 6- and 8-year-olds from the DC area. Our mission is to make learning and using Mandarin Chinese fun for children of all ages.

Xian is an award winning Mandarin Chinese teacher in DC and has been working in the field of immersion Mandarin education for the past 10 years. Apart from Chinese language class, she had the most fun teaching STEM in Chinese. Learn more about Xian here:
